“BIM or Building information Modeling is an
intelligent model-based process that provides insight to help you plan, design,
construct, and manage buildings and infrastructure”
-Autodesk
This definition gives an over-view about what is
building information modeling. How it differs from CAD (Computer-Aided-Design)
or What makes BIM more popular?
Ø Unlike
Computer-Aided-Design, which uses software tools like AutoCAD to generate 2D
and/or 3D drawings, BIM facilitates a new way of working: creating designs with
intelligent objects. Regardless of how many times the design changes—or who
changes it—the data remains consistent, coordinated, and more accurate across
all stakeholders.
Ø Models created using
software for BIM are intelligent because of the relationships and information
that are automatically built into the model. Components within the model know
how to act and interact with one another.
Cadeosys, as a leading BIM outsourcing company in India carry
out some procedures to make our work fruitful.
Ø At first we will create 3D
models by combining various trade models with the master building model,
provided by the design team.
Ø Main job of a BIM outsourcing company is to coordinate
and simplify the BIM procedure, which includes identifying and resolving
spatial conflicts between trades and master model elements.
OUR COORDINATION HIERARCHY
Ø Create master model with
existing conditions
Ø Equip location and access
Ø Gravity pipe for plumbing,
HVAC, and Fire Protection
Ø High and Medium Pressure
Duct
Ø Large Diameter Pressure Pipe
Ø Medium/high voltage encased
conduit
Ø Non-encased large conduit
Ø All other HVAC duct and
piping elements
Ø All other plumbing elements
Ø Electrical distribution
Ø Fire protection branch arm
distribution
Ø Fire Alarm elements
Ø Checks with architectural
BIM model
Ø Checks with Structural beam
for fixing elevation for each trade
