scan to BIM | 3D model

WHAT IS SCAN TO BIM?

Scan-to-BIM is the process, which uses 3D laser scanning to create accurate digital representation of a space or site. It can be also used for designing, evaluating and assessing progress.

Benefits of Using Scan to BIM:

  • It helps to measure and find true dimensions
  • Deliver high quality service
  • Help in reduction of risk
  • Improves efficiency in operations
  • Cost analysis

Revit geometry from a point cloud to BIM and the applications are:

  • Scan to BIM helps to create as-built BIM Models for retrofit, renovation and face-lift the projects.
  • It permits the creation of an as-built BIM models for the restoration work of infrastructure resources such as bridges, tunnels, monuments, heritages etc.
  • It helps to create as-built/rebuilt BIM models for MEP services that help the BIM modelers to catch clash detection in the beginning stage, which helps contractors as well clients to reduce cost of construction.
  • It develops the creation of precise BIM model with the help of Revit software.
  • It supports points to dimension as per the scan very fast.
